This End-User License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and JC Audio ("we", "us"). By installing, activating or using a paid JC Audio plugin (the "Software"), you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
1. License grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software. One license covers your own use across the computers and mobile devices you personally own or control. You may use the Software in your own music productions, commercial or non-commercial, with no additional royalty or fee.
2. Free trial
Unless you have a valid license, the Software runs as a time-limited free trial: full functionality for 14 days from first launch. When the trial ends, the Software stops processing audio (it passes the unprocessed signal through) until you activate a license. The trial period is tracked on your device; attempting to circumvent or reset it is not permitted.
3. License keys & activation
Paid licenses are sold and delivered by our checkout provider, Lemon Squeezy, who issues you a license key after purchase. You activate the Software by entering that key, which verifies it online. A license key may be activated on a limited number of devices, as stated at checkout. You are responsible for keeping your key confidential; we may deactivate keys that are shared publicly or used in breach of this Agreement.
4. Restrictions
- You may not resell, rent, sublicense, redistribute or repackage the Software or your license key.
- You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
- You may not remove or alter any copyright, trademark or licensing notices.
- You may not circumvent, disable or tamper with the trial or license-verification mechanisms.
5. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all intellectual-property rights in the Software. This Agreement grants you no rights other than the license expressly set out above.
6. Refunds
Because the Software is offered with a full-feature trial before purchase, all sales are generally final. Any refund is handled by Lemon Squeezy in accordance with their refund policy and applicable consumer law.
7. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You use it at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue or projects, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license.
9. Trademarks & independence
Product, hardware and host names referenced in connection with the Software (such as Logic and GarageBand) are trademarks of their respective owners. JC Audio is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. JC Audio model and effect names describe the character of the sound and do not imply any association with other products.
10. Term & termination
This Agreement applies for as long as you use the Software. It terminates automatically if you breach it; on termination you must stop using and remove the Software. Sections 5–8 survive termination.
11. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
