Privacy Policy

JC Audio ("we", "us"), an independent software developer based in Taiwan, makes audio plugins for macOS. We are responsible for the personal data described here. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and your choices. We keep it short and plain.

1. Email sign-ups and free downloads

When you download a free plugin or join our list, we collect your email address (and your name, if you enter it).

2. Purchases

Paid orders are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects and processes your payment and billing details under its own Privacy Policy; we never see your card number. Lemon Squeezy shares with us what we need to support you: your name, email, country, the product you bought, your order number and your license key. We use this to deliver your license, answer support questions, handle refunds and keep required business records.

3. License activation and verification (paid plugins)

Paid plugins such as JC Audio Fervor check your license with Lemon Squeezy's license server (api.lemonsqueezy.com):

The 14-day free trial itself works entirely on your Mac and sends nothing to anyone.

4. This website

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. If we measure traffic, we use privacy-first, cookieless analytics that count visits in aggregate and cannot identify you.

5. Who processes your data

We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We use a few service providers, who process it only to provide their service to us:

These providers may store data outside your country, including in the USA. Where required, they protect it with recognised safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Your rights & choices

Our plugins and emails are not aimed at children under 13.

7. Contact

Terms of Use

By downloading or using a JC Audio plugin, you agree to the following. Paid plugins (and their free trials) are also covered by our End-User License Agreement, which prevails if the two differ.
